THE HISTORY OF SOAP MAKING
Based on research the earliest recorded recipe for soap was found on a Mesopotamian Clay Tablet in ancient Babylon, dating back to 2200 BC. The formula consisted of cassia oil, potash, (lye from hardwood ash) and water.
Soap was also mentioned by the ancient Egyptians in their text dating from 1550 BC and appears in the bible in Jeremiah 2.22 and Malachi 3:2
